AZ Legislature Awareness Day
Legislative Awareness Day for Developmental Disabilities 2007
Legislative Awareness Day 2007 will officially kick off at 8:00 a.m. on
Thursday, February 1, 2007. Attendees are encouraged to attend committee
hearings and visit with Legislators from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Several
committee hearings are scheduled for Thursday morning, including:
House Human Services Committee - 9:00 a.m. - House Room 5
Senate Health Committee - 9:00 a.m. - Senate Room 1
Senate Public Safety & Human Services Committee - 9:00 a.m. - Senate Room 3
Lunch, courtesy of Carrabba's, will be served at 11:30 a.m. The official
program will begin at noon. Featured speakers include Mayor Phil Gordon and
Councilman Greg Stanton from the City of Phoenix.
Additionally, over 40 vendors will be on hand throughout the event to
provide you with valuable information about resources available to Arizonans
with disabilities!
